New Carrier at LAX: Volaris

Postby bruin787 » Tue Mar 24, 2009 4:03 pm

Mexican low cost carrier Volaris has applied to the Department of Transportation for permission to fly to LAX from Toluca, Mexico. Permission should be granted within the next few weeks.

http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/c ... 6480922608

Application of Concesionaria Vuela Compania de Aviacion, S.A. de C.V. d/b/a Volaris requesting an exemption to the extent necessary to permit Volaris to engage in scheduled foreign air transportation of persons, property and mail between (i) Tuluca, Mexico and Oakland, California; (ii)Guadalajara, Mexico and Oakland California; and (iii) Tuluca, Mexico-Los Angeles, California.

This is shaping up to be an exciting summer at LAX for planespotting! 8-)
I have a photographic memory. I just don’t have any film.

So far it looks like they fly the 319's and 320's. No newness there, but they do have a cargo side....I wonder if this will fly to LAX as well. We will have to wait and see.
A bad picture is better then a good memory
